halfway smart choices

You know those silly situations where you have the right intention, but as the situation unfolds, you realize that you haven't quite gotten it right?

Yesterday, I had one of those situations. I knew I'd be walking around campus to a variety of meetings - so it seemed like a smart idea to choose flats over heels.

I just forgot that walking from building to building would have been even easier and more comfortable if I'd worn my snow boots instead of my cute little loafers. Thankfully, I didn't slip and fall...but I was close a couple of times.

These are the types of things I'm learning to take into consideration as we adjust to living in a state whose winter is much more...wintry than Kentucky.
