these boots...

Well, these boots were definitely made for walking (the flattish sole is wonderful when walking to and from work)...but they were also made for keeping my feet warm as a cold autumn spell descended.  Granted, I just bought them last December - but already, I think of these suede boots as my autumn/winter boots - not to be worn until the weather has chilled.

Today, the weather had definitely chilled.  So it was not only the boots that I brought out, but also the sweater.  As fun as it's been to wear my denim leggings cuffed with short-sleeve shirts, it looks like it's finally time to roll them back down and put them to good use with the long sweaters.
