on needing a nap
There are a couple of reasons why I always make my bed in the morning. Mainly, it's because I like the finished look of a made bed (especially since my bedroom sits along the primary hallway in my apartment).
But also, at a deeper level, it's because, when I get home after a long day and see this:
all I can think about is how comfortable and snuggly and inviting this unmade bed looks...how easy it would be to slip under the covers and fall asleep for a nice nap...how pleasant it would feel to be warmed by the late afternoon sun while I snooze.
(wistful sigh) If only there weren't other things to be done this evening.
