suffering by comparison

The one downside to having an absolutely fabulous time participating in a friend’s wedding is that future experiences may suffer by comparison…not because they’re bad, necessarily, but simply because they’re just not as wonderful. At least, not yet. I’m still optimistic that the whole “being a bridesmaid” experience will sink in and feel as exciting as it has before...hopefully by oh, next Thursday.
