winter has arrived, temperature and all

It's a surreal feeling to look out the window at 5 p.m. and realize it's completely dark. Not dusky, but totally black. It's even more dramatic when the moon is full, and there's not a cloud in the sky to hide its glow.

What makes it even better is a dusting of snow - which we received this morning.

I'm happy to have that be our ONLY snowfall for the season, but I know I'm not that lucky.
