one album down, too many to go
Some of you may have heard me lament that I can't get my scrapbooks finished. What can I say?! I just have such an exciting life that I can't keep up!
Actually, the truth is a little more boring. Rather than have just one chronological series of albums chronicling my adventures (or lack thereof, as the case may be), I occasionally get side-tracked by theme albums...albums that are a bit of a diversion from my regular albums, and document one particular trip or one particular idea. For example, I have an album of the weddings I've been to in recent years...an album of my travels as a region consultant (and one of my travels WITH the other consultants)...and so on. I create these theme or mini albums because I just have way too many pictures from one occasion to want them all to go in my regular album...or because I want to try something new or do something a little different...or because I'm making a gift album for someone. And it's always a lot of fun to take these diversions...even if it means I have a hard time getting any of the albums completely finished. (Scrapbooker ADD, maybe??)
So I was pretty psyched this weekend when I finished an album. As in, completely finished. Down to the last detail. It's a mini-album I started in August, from a class I took with Donna Downey. And I love it! It's a "Then and Now" album, and I used it to reflect on how my life is different (or not) since I graduated from high school ten years ago. I had a lot of fun making this, too...neat to do some remembering and thinking.
So please feel free to take a look...I hope you enjoy it!

I wish I had the time (and money) to do this - so fun, so creative, and (for me, it would be) so therapeutic.
