the ten truths of a good weekend

1. Live music is an awesome way to start a four-day weekend...especially when it's great acoustic music by opening act Michael Tolcher and headliner Tristan Prettyman, in a "cozy" setting like Walter's on Washington. (WOW!)

2. Waking up to a beautiful view of the water is an amazing way to start the day.

3. There is nothing like chilling in the front of a boat to make a girl feel just a little sexy (even sitting next to Catt).

4. North Carolina boys are so good-looking.

5. I am blessed with friends who are just as creative and silly as I am.

6. Never let Granny make the ice cream cones unattended...unless you're prepared to eat and eat and eat.

7. A Fourth of July celebration just isn't the same without fireworks...

8. ...or sparklers (even those of the three-foot variety).

9. Sometimes, hanging out is the most fun of all.

10. Good friendships last through just about anything...even four years of not seeing each other.

And a brief side note...my friend and her baby are doing well. Mama-to-be has been admitted to the hospital for at least the next couple of weeks, to ensure that her vitals remain stable, and if all goes well, Baby will be delivered between four and six weeks early to try to avoid any further complications for Mama-to-be's health. Thankfully, the doctors were able to make a diagnosis and correct the imbalances.

Looks like you had a great time - I should've written a post like this, though it would've involved anything/everything relating to the beach and sleeping late.

NC looks so nice - it's winning in my back-and-forth with Seattle as to where I should get another certfication.

Which areas do you recommend looking for teaching positions - I'd love to be near the water.
