Thought for the day
from the movie "Munich":
"Every civilization finds it necessary to negotiate compromises with its own values."
This movie was so intriguing to watch, and very thought-provoking...from the first through the very last scene (which gave me chills a little bit). It raises some well-placed questions about a nation's response to terrorism, and makes me want to learn more than I know (which is nada) about the history of this and other conflicts.
There's also an article about Steven Spielberg and the movie in the December 12 issue of Time magazine that offers some interesting insight into the making of the film, including a statement that the location of the last scene was not intentional. But honestly? They could have placed the last scene anywhere...that's a big stretch to claim there was absolutely no intention in choosing the location (and background) that they did. Guess it's one of those things that is what you make of it...it's still a good film.
